Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd:

The primary objective of the GRSE is to provide a solution to the shipbuilding requirements of the Indian Coast and Indian Navy. It was incorporated in 1934 under the government of India. It has three facilities: the first unit is for shipbuilding in Kolkata, the second is for building ships in Rajabagan Dockyard, and the third is for the fitting and repair section.

Selection Process of GRSE Careers :

  • The selection for all posts (except Assistant Managers) will be through interview only

Assistant Manager:

  • Written Test will be scheduled tentatively in the month of September 2024 at Kolkata and Ranchi.
  • No TA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the written test.
  • Duration of Written test – 90 minutes
  • Question paper language – Bi-lingual (English and Hindi).
  • Question paper type – Objective type with Multiple Choices Questions.
  • Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted/called to appear for an Interview.
  • Candidates appearing for interview have to produce final mark-sheet/certificate before interview.

Selection Process of GRSE Recruitment 2024 :

  • Screening based on years of relevant experience, % of marks in qualifying examination, etc., at the discretion of GRSE management may be carried out for shortlisting candidates for written test.
  • The selection method will be based on a Written Test and a Practical (Trade) Test.

Written Test:

  • Written test will be held in Kolkata. Based on the number of responses, the test centre may be changed at the discretion of the management.

  • Supervisor (S-1)(FT) and Supervisor (S-1) (Permanent) posts in the Finance discipline, practical tests will not be conducted, and selection will be based on written tests, only.
  • Qualifying marks in the selection test, including the Practical (Trade) test (Trade test is of qualifying nature only), is 50% for UR/EWS and for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD 45% as per reservation of post.
  • A post-wise merit list will be prepared based on performance in the written test.
