Nib recruitment 2024 apply online: The National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) has announced notification for the Scientist Grade – I/II/Junior Scientist/Assistant – II posts. There are six vacancies available for these posts. Candidates with BA/B.Com/B.Sc/M.Sc/MBBS qualifications are eligible to apply for the job. Detailed Eligibility for NIB Careers:

Educational Qualification:

Scientist Grade – I:

Essential:

  • Medical:
    • MBBS from MCI-recognized Medical College.
    • PG Medical Degree in the field of Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Immunohematology & Blood
      Transfusion/Pharmacology/ Bacteriology! Serology /Hematology from a recognized University and 10 ( Ten Years’ relevant experience after acquiring  essential qualifications.
  • Non-Medical:
    • Master in Microbiology/Clinical Microbiology /Biotechnology /Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Bacteriology/Physiology Pharmacology/Serology/Molecular Biology from any recognized university with at least 60% marks and a minimum of 10 (Ten) years of relevant experience.

Desirable: At least seven publications or articles in indexed journals in any of the above-mentioned fields of qualification or experience.

Scientist Grade – II: 

Essential:

  • Medical:
    • MBBS from MCI-recognized Medical College.
    • PG Medical Degree in the field of Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion/Pharmacology/ Bacteriology/Serology /Hematology from a recognized University and 05 years of relevant experience after acquiring essential qualifications.
  • Non-Medical:
    • Master in Microbiology/Clinical Microbiology /Biotechnology /Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Bacteriology/Physiology Pharmacology/Serology/Molecular Biology from any recognized university with at least 60% mark and minimum 07 (Ten) years of relevant experience.

Desirable: At least five publications or articles in indexed journals in any of the above-mentioned fields of qualification or experience.

Junior Scientist:

  • Essential: Master in Microbiology/Clinical Microbiology / Biotechnology Bioinformatics/Biochemistry/Bacteriology/ Pharmacology/Serology/Molecular Biology/Physiology from any recognized university with at least 60% marks and a minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Desirable: At least 1 publication or an article in an Indexed Journal in any of the above-mentioned fields of qualification or experience.

Assistant – II:

Essential: 

  • 12th Class pass with 50% marks with Arts/Commerce/Science subject from a recognized Board or University,
  • Accurate typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on a Computer, 35 WPM correspond to 10,500 KDPH and 30 WPM correspond to 9000 KDPH.

Note: Candidate with Bachelor degree & professional qualification in Certificate in HR/MM/Account with Computer Science/IT will be preferred.

Age Limit (as on 23 September 2024):

  • Scientist Grade – I: 50 years
  • Scientist Grade – II: 45 years
  • Junior Scientist: 30 years
  • Assistant – II: 27 years

Age Relaxation: Relaxation in age for Government Servants and SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped candidates/EWS will be as per the instructions of the Government of India issued from time to time.

NIB Vacancies: 06 Posts

  • Scientist Grade – I: 01 Post (UR)
  • Scientist Grade – II: 02 Posts (UR: 01, EWS: 01)
  • Junior Scientist: 02 Posts (OBC: 01, UR: 01)
  • Assistant – II: 01 Post (UR: 01)

Selection Process for NIB Careers:

  • The selection process will be based on a written test/interview/personality test.

For Scientist Grade – I: 

  • The shortlisted candidates for Scientist Grade I will be called for personal discussion.
  • The screening committee will adopt a suitable shortlisting criteria, which may include relevant ‘experience, publication etc.

For Scientsit Grade – II: 

  • Eligible candidates will be called for the written test.
  • The merit list will be prepared out of the candidates obtaining the qualifying marks (minimum of 60%) in the written test.
  • Candidates on the merit list will be called for personal discussion in a ratio of 1:10.
  • Selection of the candidates will be based on scores in the screening test (40% weightage), credentials like experience, publications etc. (30% weightage) and personal discussion (30% weightage).

For Junior Scientist:

  • The eligible candidates will be called for the written test.
  • Merit list will be prepared out of the candidates obtaining the qualifying marks (minimum 50% for Gen, EWS & OBC and 40% in case the post is reserved for the SC/ST category) in the written test.
  • A merit list will be prepared out of the candidates obtaining the qualifying marks in written tests.

For Assistant – II:

  • The eligible candidates will be called for the written test and skill test Merit list will be prepared out of the candidates obtaining the qualifying marks (minimum of 60%) in the written test.
  • Candidates in the merit list will be called for a skill test in a ratio of 1:5
  • Skill tests will be comprised of practical skills related to the job profile, and the candidate will be required to score 60% marks in the skill test to qualify.
  • The details of the skill test will be intimated later.
