Senior Software Engineer Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Full Stack Senior Engineer to join our team. This role involves building world-class web applications and guiding a team in crafting idiomatic, tested, and maintainable code. Proficiency in React is essential, with experience in front-end and back-end development required.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and product teams to define feature roadmaps and release schedules.
- Lead the development of both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring high standards and effective team collaboration.
- Make informed technical decisions and guide the team through trade-offs.
- Design and build user-facing products with a focus on web technologies.
- Anticipate potential issues and work proactively to address them before they impact the business.
What We Look For
- Experience: 7+ years in front-end web development with a strong background in full-stack engineering.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, and Golang. Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux, Webpack) and CSS preprocessors (SASS) is beneficial.
- Leadership: Proven experience as a technical team lead, with a commitment to mentorship and supporting teammates.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of best practices in JS/CSS and common pitfalls. Experience with Golang or C programming is required.
- Additional Skills: Interest in educational technology and previous startup experience are advantageous.
